Peppy Hare once served as a distinguished captain in the Cornerian Army, operating as commander of three vessels during his nearly two decades of service. After the death of James McCloud's wife, he resigned his commission to help his friend form Star Fox along with Pigma Dengar. During a recon mission to Venom, Peppy was nearly killed by a traitorous Pigma and lost the life of James in the ambush. He currently serves as a mentor and flight instructor to Fox McCloud, as well as captain of the Great Fox.
Peppy is a selectable Wingman during the Lylat War and Saurian Crisis campaigns. He is an NPC that operates the Great Fox during the Aparoid Assault campaign. Peppy Hare is an available multiplayer character. His default ship is the Arwing Retrofit, should it be available in a current mission.
