The Mark II Arwing was the iconic craft used by the Star Fox Team during the first Lylat War.
The Arwing X-02 was commissioned by the Cornerian Army and created by Arspace Dynamics as a potential replacement for the AL1 Bottlenose Fighter. While the craft exceeded expectations, the Cornerian Army abandoned them in favor of the cheaper AL2 Bottlenose. The few Arwing X-02's that were built were bought by James McCloud and were made famous by the Star Fox Team.
This variation of the Arwing is an All-Purpose Fighter Craft, capable of serving a large variety of combat and support roles depending on its loadouts. Arming them with Flak Cannons and Homing Missiles can make them excellent interceptors or anti-fighter craft. Heavy loadouts such as Fusion Cannons and Dumbfire Missiles can turn these fighters into swift bombers. Most pilots will prefer to mix their weapons to take advantage of the craft's versatility. The Mark II Arwing has no unique weapon, instead it can link its two Primary Weapons together for combined firepower.
